Data loggers

Data loggers are designed to read auto data for later analysis when the vehicle is in normal operation.

Data logging uses include:

1.      Engine and vehicle monitoring in normal operation for diagnosis or tuning.
2.      Check driver’s behavior by some auto insurance companies in the purpose of reduced premiums. This is a form of auto insurance risk selection.
3.      Monitoring driver behavior by fleet vehicle operators.

The data loggers may be applied on vehicles regularly, and the data will be transmitted wirelessly to a third party automatically or retrieved for forensic analysis after an event such as an accident, traffic infringement or mechanical fault.
