will this tool require the key yo be placed in the loop or is it possible to boost the key signal to unlock the vehicle.. will the tool be required to be attached to the ecu unit of the car.

Sorry, can't support. MINI OBD is only used for anti-theft matching of car keys.

What does the LF on the round hole at the bottom of the VVDI Mini OBD Tool mean?

LF is "low frequency".
